What is your background?
We are MMCS Commercial Cleaning Ltd an established cleaning company providing reliable services to commercial properties and holiday lets across the North East. With over 18 years of experience in this industry, we have built up a friendly team of dedicated staff who have a proactive and detail orientated approach to cleaning.
Our clients include business centres, retailers, shopping centres, leisure facilities, estate agencies, property developers, management companies, construction companies, hoteliers, holiday let companies and offices of all kinds.
How did you get into offering fogging solutions?
At the beginning of last year, we were looking into new ways to work safely within the cleaning industry. When Covid-19 hit businesses hard we looked at ways we could help and discovered fogging as additional measure to protect staff and customers. Fogging as a solution helped a lot of businesses to stay open and brought reassurance to them that they could continue to operate during a difficult period. Because a lot of products on the market are not as safe as they are advertised, and contain chemicals which are not good for the human respiratory system, and often require wearing masks and goggles, we looked for ways to improve protection and use the most environmentally friendly products possible.
What does your new offering Airburst Products provide?
During our research we came across hypochlorous acid which we found to be an amazing product as it is kind to both humans and animals and can be used and disposed of safely. To our surprise, hypochlorous is more effective than lots of well-known disinfectants, but not many people are aware of this.
This led us to develop our new range of products “Airburst”. The components of the system are the device, the hypochlorous fogging solution and the disinfecting method that helps to protect from infection by killing 99.9999% of bacteria spores and viruses in the air, and also sanitising hard and soft surfaces. Anyone at work, at home, or on holiday can benefit from using Airburst. It is a simple but effective way to protect yourself and people around from airborne viruses and bacteria.
By simply pressing a button to start the device, you can make indoor spaces safe for people to work and live within minutes. No goggles or masks needed!
How are your customers using it?
Our customers prefer the Airburst machine that is connected to internet and programmed to be used in the hours when the disinfectant is most required (they can choose the time themselves and make a preferred schedule to suit their day). You can always add extra time by pressing the button on the machine. We found this became very popular in offices with 20 or more people as well as student common areas.
How do you think Covid-19 will change cleaning habits?
Hopefully Covid will be over soon but we have learned a valuable lesson that cleaning is not enough and we all need to look at adapting to a new way of protecting ourselves so we can carry on living and working normally in safe environments.
